ADIEU TO MARCH 2021: By Polly Guerin

March came in with a snowy blast
But Soring was stepping up at last

As solemn as the month may seem
A one year anniversary from Covid-19

We're in a brighter, lighter, happier mood
With wind in the grass whisperings soothe

Unwelcome flooding a sudden rainstorm
Gave birth to myriad flowers on the lawn

A time of renewal with open air dining
With protocols in place and reminding

Be cautious and patient while unwinding
We have come so far in this race providing

March 19 officially announced Spring
Even the city sparrows began to sing

People felt giddy with abandon relief
With daylight savings time hour release

Welcome new season of health and renewal
April steps in with blue skies ever truer.
