Where the sweetness of life sets our hearts

Oh come away with me oh foolish child

To the winter of our life and be so mild

I'll Kiss your lips and hold your soft hand

For time is fleeting, do you not understand?

There's not so much time to linger on

Loves sweet song is in the abyss, beyond

Don't let love pass with a goodbye glance

Oh come away with me my foolish child

 With the fairy hand in hand we will glide

And mend all the broken hearts weeping

And dance the magic of love before sleeping.

ADIEU TO JANUARY 2021: By Polly Guerin

January swept into our lives with high expectations

Yet, still sheltered our freedom was again rationed

Pristine snow reminded us it was winter at last

The birth of a new year was upon us so fast

Martin Luther King celebrated non violent reform

But the storm on the United States capitol was born

A threat to our freedom, an unholy act of defiance

We seek solace with new administration for reliance

Ousted DT moved on, a sad story ended without glory

Joe Biden positive message brought calm to the story

Winter Village and ice skaters in Bryant Park

Made us feel giddy, a play day away on a lark

Alas, Winter claimed her chilly, chatter place

We bundled up, distanced ourself, mask on face

Yearning for sunshine to warm our grieving hearts

Paper lanterns lit uo Mott St. in Chinatown to start

Lunar celebrations and rainbow colors in midtown

Lit up the city with warm hearted love all around

Adieu to January left us with  ambivalent grace

February was waiting impatiently to take its place

With LOVE to LOVE the promise on Valentine's Day

Let's spread love and more love in this special way

Send hope and hugs to strangers and everyone you love

Then do it again and again to heal the sad world we love.

Soothe the heartbreak of the ones you love

With expansive ideas leading you forward

What have I to offer, no gold or fortune to disperse

Yet I can plant seeds of love each day and converse

Even with a stranger don't keep treasures underground

Flowering blossoms of the spoken word reve up the sound

Unearth words of praise, encouragement and love

Take inspiration from the from the wisdom of the peaceful dove

Open up the roots, go deep into florid communication

Break down barriers, open the borders between each nation

Leave your mark of validation, invest in one another

Call him father, brother, sister, even matriarch mother

They're all the same, humanity rolledup into one

Gather yee seeds of love under the global sun.

Oh celestial stars sparkling so bright

Grant me this wish I've made tonight 

That peace and sanity spread over the land

And reconciliation the mantra world plan\

Counting the past lessons now learned

Bring in the New Year Gift at every turn

Cast out forever doubt and unfounded fear

Focus on the good things that are very near

Make a list now that the New Year has begun

Welcome new opportunities and then some

Fast forward with energy into the future

Your heart uplifted by your new suitor

Raise a glass of champagne to yourself

Get readt fir new ideas leaping off the shelf

Recite affirmations confirm your true calling

With confidence your innate talent is soaring
